Award from the
Bavarian Environmental & Climate Pact

At the beginning of January, we received an award from the Bavarian Environment & Climate Pact from District Administrator Dr Oliver Bär on behalf of the Bavarian Environment Minister Thorsten Glauber in recognition of our excellent sustainability work.

Environmental protection has been a high priority at GEALAN for many years. We take responsibility as a company through various environmental projects that go beyond the legal requirements. A few years ago, we implemented a project for the sustainable use of groundwater as an energy source for "heating and cooling", which was also honoured with the E.ON environmental award. In addition, disposable packaging in the in-house bistro was replaced by sustainable reusable packaging and the purchase of green electricity was established throughout the company.

We are making a major contribution to greater sustainability not only through various projects and savings at our 8 locations, but also by replacing metal. This is because polymer components are particularly durable, weight-saving and, of course, recyclable. Lightweight construction also pays off when operating the vehicle and handling the components during assembly and transport.

Special thanks go to all employees who support the sustainability work through their suggestions for improvement and daily actions.

We will continue to pursue our goal of "GEALAN goes zero CO2 by 2030!" and thus take a big step towards a more sustainable future.
